About us

Sonrise Saints Ministry was formed with the purpose of spreading Gods word through music and testimony.  The main focus is to support local faith based ministries whose end goal is to aid youth thru the word of God.

A little bit about us; Sonrise Saints was formed by Bryan and Dee Watson, along with their son, Derek Bielecki.  Both Bryan and Dee attend the First Presbyterian Church in Mount Vernon, Ohio.  They are both a part of their church's Praise Band, with Bryan being the Worship Leader.  With a recent relocation to the Sunbury/Berkshire area, and Derek graduating from the University of Cincinnati, they feel this is the perfect time to reach out to their new community with the ministry that is so close to their hearts.

Sonrise Saints is reaching out to churches and youth groups in their new area to share an amazing message.  The ministry is comprised of both music and a testimony. Bryan’s testimony is all telling...going thru the phase of being bullied as a child, to living on the road as a struggling Rock Star…suffering from addiction. He’s only alive today, thru the grace of God!

Being encouraged by the feedback received in this new community, Sonrise Saints is hoping to be able to connect with your church or youth group to share their message soon!

From as far back as I can remember, music has been a constant companion.  Piano at five years old turned into trombone, drums, and eventually bass and guitar.  By the time I was 16, I was playing heavy metal guitar in bars in Columbus Ohio.  I toured North America with a band from Toronto called Disaster Area from March of 1993 to March of 1995.  In 1999 I switched back to bass and formed a cover band called Fatdog.  I continued playing with Fatdog around Ohio until 2009 but also had an original band called Fall of Man.  We released a self-titled album in 2006 and played concerts with various bands- including Breaking Benjamin before we called it quits in 2008.

After turning back to God in 2012, I began to write worship music that pays tribute to the power of Jesus Christ and the Word.  I am currently the worship leader for the First Presbyterian church in Mount Vernon Ohio.

I love the idea of living my life like a celebration.  The bible tells us to have joy in all we do and to rejoice.  I have joy in my husband, joy in my children and once I completely surrendered my life to God, I have found joy and rejoice in praise and worship.

At 23, I am an English teacher at Zenith Academy High School in Columbus, Ohio, and the son of Danise (Dee) and Bryan Watson. In May of 2019, I graduated from the University of Cincinnati—my first educational experience that hadn’t correlated with my faith. Prior to this, I attended two catholic schools in Ohio: St. Vincent de Paul K-8 school and Newark Catholic High School. Although a plethora of wonderful relationships and memories stemmed from my catholic education, I cannot say that my faith life was always adequate. Like many, I struggled at times to find the importance of my faith in my day-to-day life and remain devoted. Bryan and Dee Watson, however, have helped guide me through my doubts and troubles with their words, actions, and un-relinquishing faith life. They have been constant influences on my faith and desire to further develop my relationship with God. The importance of community is truly underrated and, in my opinion, essential. This is why I am so passionate about our mission to serve others through this nonprofit organization, as they have both served me while asking for nothing in return. Ever since I was elected to serve as a student director in Newark Catholic’s annual Kairos retreat my senior year, I have come to realize how truly satisfying and fulfilling it is to serve others whom are in need of spiritual or emotional healing, and the work that we have done so far has only solidified this notion for me. In order to be a leader in your community, you must first learn to be a follower and serve: that is exactly what we will do.
